Drastic Changes Coming in Windows 8 Release

As you already may be aware, a consumer preview of Windows 8 was introduced at the beginning of March.  The planned release date is October 26, 2012.

With a flashy new tile based user interface (see below) similar to that of a smart phone or tablet and the ability to take it “to go” on a USB device, there are many differences in Windows 8 compared to previous Windows operating systems. For more information on the new look, visit the Windows 8 Consumer Preview.  Please keep in mind that consumer versions and business versions do not always have the same functionality.

 

As the release date gets closer, we will provide more details on features, what’s new, and what to consider before upgrading to Windows 8.
